Canadians living in Somalia including three Federal Government of Somalia Ministers on Sunday gathered to celebrate the 150 years of Canada.
The ceremony was organized by Canadian Ambassador to Somalia Ms. Sara Hradecky.

The Canadian envoy noted the achievement made by Somali Canadians in rebuilding the Horn of Africa country.
Among the most impressive organizations ran by Somali Canadians has been the Elman Peace and Human Rights Center. Ilwad Elman the Director of the organization and her mother a founder were present at the occasion.
Canada has hosted Somalis since the civil war erupted in 1991 with the fall of the Siad Barre regime and it is estimated that at least 150000 Somalis live in the North American country.
